Icarly is a well-liked situational comedy series on Nickelodeon. Its first season premiered on September 8, 2007 that consisted of 25 episodes. The show is currently airing its third season. The creator and producer of the show is Dan Schneider. The storyline moves around a girl named Carly portrayed by Miranda Cosgrove. Carly decides to launch her own show on internet with the help of her best buddies, Sam and Freddie. The show is entitled as iCarlie where “i” stand for Internet. That is the reason why each and every episode of the show initiates with a lowercase ‘i’.

Jennette McCurdy is playing the role of Sam and is also the co-host of web show “iCarly”. Nathan Kress is being portrayed as Freddie. He is the person who handles all the technical aspects of web show and he is also Carly’s neighbor. The main character list also includes Carly’s twenty something brother and legal guardian, Spencer Shay which is played by Jerry Trainor.

Before hosting her home-grown web show, Carly had to face a major issue. She didn’t have suitable place for production of her show. But the determined girl moves forward by making her third floor room as temporary studio. Battling with the issues of adolescence, Carly never desires to earn name and fame as an aspiring star/celebrity to teenagers.

As the story moves forward and various events get unfolded, it happens that she is been granted the charge of a school talent show. This is how she and her friends get the idea to make a show, out of the audition process. Without telling it to anybody else, they post it on the web. The web show is so much appreciated by the online viewers that they buzzed for even more. Inspired by this, Carly and her gang feature everything in the show from talent contests and recipes to interviews and problem-solving.

The show is also honored with awards like Blimp award in the category of Favorite TV show. As of 6th February 2010, a total of thirty six episodes of the show have been aired.
